Every time a movie comes out, what we often see at the beginning of each movie are familiar logo images from famous studios in Hollywood.
1. DreamWorks Pictures
The original DreamWorks logo was a man sitting on the moon fishing.
2. Columbia Pictures
The woman holding the torch has been the symbol of Columbia Pictures since 1924. Many people have wondered who the original model of that woman was.
3. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
The idea for the MGM studio logo came from journalist Howard Dietz in 1924. He drew it based on The Lions logo from the sports team of his alma mater, Columbia University.
4. Paramount Pictures
Paramount’s logo is inspired by Ben Lomond mountain, which is where artist William Hodkinson was born and raised.
5. Warner Bros.
At first glance, the WB logo seems relatively easy to understand – a shield with two letters representing the names of the owners (the Warner brothers).
6. Walt Disney
The symbol of the world’s most famous animation studio has always been a fairy tale castle.
7. Pixar
Pixar’s logo was inspired by the studio’s first successful film.
8. Castle Rock Entertainment
Castle Rock Entertainment is famous for making film adaptations of Stephen King’s novels.
9. Lionsgate
The name Lions Gate was derived from a bridge in Vancouver, where company founder Robert Altman was born.
10. Scott Free
Famous director Ridley Scott also owns his own studio called Scott Free.
